Albjon Gjorllaku was born in London, England and graduated from The Royal Ballet School in London, England. In 2017, upon graduating, he joined Orlando Ballet before joining The National Ballet of Canada as an RBC Apprentice in 2019 and was promoted to Corps de Ballet in 2022.
Albjon recently performed as Sancho Panzo in the North American premiere of Carlos Acosta’s Don Quixote. His repertoire includes Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet, Grant Munroe in Frame by Frame, The Frog in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Cinderella, Onegin, A Streetcar Named Desire, MADDADDAM, Emma Bovary, Angels’ Atlas, Suite en Blanc, Passion, UtopiVerse, Concerto and Alleged Dances.
In 2023, Albjon received the Patron Award of Merit, was awarded the RBC Emerging Artist Award in 2022 and received the Royal Ballet Graduate Award for Progress and Endeavour in 2017.
