Brenna Flaherty was born in Boston, Massachusetts and trained at Boston Ballet School in Massachusetts. Brenna joined The National Ballet of Canada as a RBC Apprentice in 2016 and was promoted to Second Soloist in 2021.
Most recently, Brenna performed in the North American premiere of Carlos Acosta’s Don Quixote and lead roles in Rubies and Emeralds. Brenna has performed as the Other Stepsister in Cinderella and the Sheep in The Nutcracker. Her repertoire includes Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Onegin, Romeo and Juliet, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Anna Karenina, The Merry Widow, A Streetcar Named Desire, Emma Bovary, The Dream, Angels’ Atlas, Anima Animus, After the Rain, Elite Syncopations, Serenade, Diamonds, Symphony in C, Concerto, Suite en Blanc, Passion, Paz de la Jolla, Paquita, Crepuscular and On Solid Ground.
