Monika Haczkiewicz was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and trained at Nevada Ballet Theatre, Kwak Ballet Academy, Tara Foy’s Elite Ballet and Nevada School of Dance in Las Vegas, Nevada and Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. Monika danced with Atlanta Ballet before joining The National Ballet of Canada as a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2019.
Most recently, Monika danced Tall Girl in Balanchine’s Rubies and Mercedes in the North American premiere of Carlos Acosta’s Don Quixote. Monika’s repertoire with the National Ballet includes Petal in Cinderella and Lady Montague in Romeo and Juliet, as well as roles in Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Emma Bovary, Angels’ Atlas, Serenade, Suite en Blanc, Symphony in C, Anima Animus, Passion, Elite Syncopations, Concerto and The Collective Agreement.
In 2024, Monika was the recipient of Patron Award of Merit by the Patrons’ Council Committee of The National Ballet of Canada and in 2015, Monika competed in the Youth America Grand Prix where she ranked second place in the senior division in the Las Vegas Semi-Finals.
