Zhenya Vitort

Biography

The Belarusian-Canadian pianist Zhenya Vitort holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Toronto. She was privileged to study the art of piano with Irina Semenyako, Natalya Tyomkina and Boris Lysenko. During her studies, Zhenya has appeared in masterclasses with such distinguished artists as Emanuel Ax, Yo-Yo Ma, James Levine, William Bolcom, Mark Morriss, Dawn Upshaw, Adrianne Pieczonka, Roger Vignoles, Yefim Bronfman and Pinchas Zukerman. 

Zhenya has performed at the Luminato Festival Toronto, Festival of Contemporary Music in Toronto, The Banff Arts Centre, Tanglewood Music Festival, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and The Kennedy Centre. 

She has been a pianist with The National Ballet of Canada since 2011 and has appeared with the company’s Orchestra as a soloist in Tarantella, Piano Concerto #1, Marguerite and Armand, Concerto, and Rubies as well as in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (piano) and The Nutcracker (celesta).
